Our story
We build wooden toys that feel like family heirlooms.
Squee Sacri began as a small bench in a Yorkshire garage and has grown into a studio that serves families, nurseries, and learning spaces across the UK.
What guides us
Curiosity, patience, and craftsmanship. We want children to feel safe as they explore, and adults to feel proud of the pieces they bring home.
The beginning
From educator feedback to handmade sets.
Our founder, Elsie Carter, spent years in early-years classrooms and noticed how quickly plastic toys broke. She began carving simple blocks for her students, and parents quickly asked for their own sets.
Company values
- Make it durable so it can be shared.
- Keep play open-ended and flexible.
- Design with real classroom feedback.
Leadership
The people behind the workbench.

Client Partnerships
Neha works with nurseries and family clients to shape custom toy sets and training sessions.
Workshop approach
Slow craft with modern safety standards.
We use low-dust cutting tools, water-based stains, and a finishing process that is safe for babies and toddlers. Every toy is left to cure for seven days before packing.

Sustainability
Responsible materials, mindful waste.
We source wood within the UK whenever possible and reuse offcuts for smaller sensory items. Dust is collected for composting, and packaging is fully recyclable.
Community contributions
Each quarter we donate toys to learning centres in need and host free maintenance sessions for families.
